Rhonda Fenwick is a friend to The Human Impact.

On Friday, November 13, 2020, after decades of alcohol addiction and time living as a homeless woman on the streets of Dallas, Rhonda passed away. She was surrounded by her son, sister and ex-husband whom she never stopped loving and talking about. The Human Impact staff would often make sure to charge their phones before seeing her to make sure she could call her son.

Her drinking cost her a marriage to a man that she loved and who loved her but could no longer support her drinking habits and behavior. Her drinking cost her a home. Her drinking cost her her life - on this side of heaven.

Unfortunately, Rhonda's story of addiction is not uncommon for the homeless men and women The Human Impact meets daily through consistent, loving community and outreach. Rhonda was taking steps towards addiction and health recovery near the final months of her life - a life no one knew would end so soon or abruptly - and other friends, just like her, are ready to do the same. A gift to The Rhonda Fenwick Memorial Fund helps currently homeless men and women seeking recovery find the help they need through The Human Impact. Help our friends experiencing addiction, mental instability, medical emergencies and difficult times find home.
